Through the firm’s engagement, Lori serves as the Director of the Offshore Committee for the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association (LMOGA), the Executive Director for the Gulf Economic Survival Team (GEST), Managing Director for the Morganza Action Coalition (MAC), and Secretary/Treasurer of the Louisiana Flood Risk Coalition.
She worked as Deputy Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources from 2008-2010 and, prior to joining DNR, she served on the Governor’s Coastal Advisory Commission, Governor Jindal’s Transition Team, and was President of the Board of Directors for the coastal advocacy group, Restore or Retreat, Inc. Lori is actively involved in the community with participation in the Lafourche Chamber of Commerce, Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce, South Central Industrial Association, the Nicholls State University Foundation, the Lafourche Parish Strategic Planning Steering Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Bayou Industrial Group.
Earlier in her career, she was the Operations Manager of a family-owned international industry supply company and spent ten years working in environmental consulting in Baton Rouge and Orlando, Florida. Lori’s past experience in the private, non-profit and government sectors gives her a broad knowledge base in strategic planning; government relations; policy and business development; public relations and collaborating resources for the effective implementation of complex initiatives.
Lori received her B.S. in Environmental Science from Auburn University in 1991 and her Master’s degree in Environmental Toxicology and Policy from Louisiana State University in 1999.
